Contraband is an album by Dutch rock band Golden Earring, released in 1976 (see 1976 in music). For the US, the same recordings were issued under the album title Mad Love the following year (1977). This US version also had different cover art and song sequence. Additionally the song "Faded Jeans" was omitted and replaced with the track "I Need Love". All songs written by Hay and Kooymans. Mad Love's Comin'" – 7:45. Fighting Windmills" – 4:38.
Golden Earring is the self-titled album by Dutch rock band Golden Earring, released in 1970. Fans often refer to it as Wall of Dolls due to the cover artwork. This is the first Golden Earring album with drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk as a member. From that time, all four members of the band on this album have remained in the lineup. All songs written by Kooymans except where noted. Yellow and Blue" – 3:43. This Is the Time of the Year" – 3:32. Big Tree, Blue Sea" (Hay, Kooymans) – 6:09.

Throughout the years Golden Earring released no less than 26 studio albums. Next to that, dozens of songs were released but not on official albums (the so called non-album tracks), including classics like 'That Day', 'Sound Of The Screaming Day', 'Another 45 Miles', 'Holy Holy Life' and hard to find songs, like 'So You Want To Be A Rock'n'Roll Star', '. Woman' and 'You Gun My Love'. It would have been nice to have gate-fold sleeves for the discs which represented gate-fold albums, but at least the cover artwork is true to the Dutch releases, and although the booklet is minimal (more or less a brief summation of each album), it's better than no booklet at all (which many boxes like this fall short on).
