Record Collection is the third studio album by music producer Mark Ronson. The album was released under the moniker Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. and was released on 27 September 2010 in the UK and on 28 September 2010 in the US. "Bang Bang Bang" was the first single released from the album, on 9 July 2010. The single peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart, marking Ronson's fourth Top 10 hit; as well as peaking at number 18 on the Irish Singles Chart.
The Platters were an American vocal group. The Platters were one of the first African American groups to be accepted as a major chart group and were for a period of time the most successful vocal group in the world. The Platters formed in Los Angeles in 1952 and were initially managed by Federal Records A&R man Ralph Bass. The band then released two singles with Federal Records under the management of Bass but found little success. Bass then asked his friend music entrepreneur and songwriter Buck Ram to coach the group in hope of getting a hit record.
There are many famous album covers, but we’ve put together what we believe are the 100 greatest album covers. Just like Isaac Hayes’s cover for Black Moses, a double album from the early 1970s. It folded out into the shape of a cross with Isaac having his arms stretched wide, like thi. udacious or what? Most of those albums date from the era of the long-playing record – none too surprising re-ally given that the medium was part of the message and are part of what encouraged us to spend our hard earned cash. Now we bet most of you will have, at some time or another, bought an album because of the cover.
All through the last decade, you’d find a lot of people insisting that the album was dead, a victim of the MP3, the iPod and a la carte downloading. But that never happened. If anything, artists doubled down on the format, resulting in a renaissance of long form artistic statements from a wide range of artists. This list of the decade’s 100 best albums includes the work of rock revivalists (the Strokes, the White Stripes), dance floor visionaries (. LCD Soundsystem), hip-hop icons (Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye West) and old standbys like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and U2, who reinvented their.
