Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out album download

The first three-quarters of Inside-Out contains some of Yo La Tengo's best work to date. As a whole, however, it may be one of their less ear-catching records. Album Stream: Yo La Tengo, 'Stuff Like That There'.

And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out. And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out is the ninth studio album by American indie rock band Yo La Tengo, released on February 22, 2000 by record label Matador. And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out was recorded at Alex the Great in Nashville, Tennessee and mixed at the Big House in Manhattan, New York City

For years, Yo La Tengo have cranked out incredibly diverse albums with songs ranging from gentle western twang, to noise-fueled indie anthems, to lengthy, distortion-soaked instrumental epics. But here, Yo La Tengo have eliminated the noise they built their name on. 'Upbeat' is no longer an accurate descriptor for the trio's music. Rather, this is an album filled with songs in the vein of I Can Hear the Heart 's "Shadows", Electr-O-Pura 's "The Hour Grows Late", and the droning seven-minute version of "Big Day Coming" off Painful  . Among Inside-Out 's sea of gentle lullabies, it's easy to long for the stunning diversity this band is known for. However, it's clear they were shooting for something different this time around. The album's cover depicts quiet dusk in a common outer suburb.

I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One is the eighth studio album by the American indie rock band Yo La Tengo, released on April 22, 1997, by Matador Records. It was produced by Roger Moutenot and recorded at House of David in Nashville, Tennessee. The album expands the guitar-based pop of its predecessor Electr-O-Pura to encompass a variety of other music genres, including bossa nova, krautrock, and electronic music

Yo La Tengo's 11th album is a relentlessly satisfying, slyly low-key affair with shimmery organs, muted soft-brush drumming, loping bass lines, casually strummed guitars, and interlocking rounds of hushed vocal harmonies. Yes, this is Yo La Tengo we're talking about, a band that formerly rivaled the Dream Syndicate in feedback squall-tastes of which do appear on the uptempo "Cherry Chapstick  . I have been a Yo La Tengo fan for several years and have always looked forward to their latest offering. Upon receiving this one however, I felt underwhelmed upon the first listen. After several listens I do find myself being pulled into this record.
