A departure from the Manchester by way of Southern California sounds of their previous releases, this four-song EP find the Autumns channeling a '50s pop energy that locks in step with the high school dance motif of the album artwork. With breezy, clean guitar tones bouncing off of picturesque imagery, this is waltzing music for indie pop kids. The guitars hang big icy halos over the gorgeously fragile purity of sweet harmonies and chilly atmospherics in "Thieves in Blue" and "Slow Kiss

The band's fourth album, Fake Noise From a Box of Toys, was released by Bella Union in 2007 and 2008's The Ocean and The Su. The Autumns disbanded quietly in 2008. In 2014, Matthew Kelly confirmed the end, stating they are done with that part of their lives but remain friends.
