Seal has returned with Seal 7, giving us an album that showcases why many of us fell in love with his music in the first place. I still remember finding "Crazy" off of the sampler CD "Just Say Anything" in 1991 and I was hooked. His following albums were the soundtrack to the whirlwind years of dating my wife.

Album · 2015 · 11 Songs. There’s something unreal about Seal. His instantly recognizable voice only gets stronger and more charismatic with age. On 7 he reunites with producer Trevor Horn, the architect of Crazy and Kiss From a Rose. Together they enjoy after-hours scenery on Padded Cell, Monascow, and Life on a Dancefloor -all outfitted with contemporary curves. That's well and good, but it’s ballads people expect and Seal delivers: Half a Heart and The Big Love Has Died are self-referential showstoppers, with Horn building an epic battleground for Seal’s emotional fight songs.
Seal 7 followed the all-covers 2012 set Soul 2 and was the singer's first set of original material since the 2010 release Seal 6: Commitment. More significantly, it was his first originals-oriented collaboration with longtime creative partner and friend Trevor Horn since 2003's Seal 4, and it was made in the wake of the singer's divorce from Heidi Klum.
