In most Western ecclesiastical traditions, "Christmas Day" is considered the "First Day of Christmas" and the Twelve Days are 25 December – 5 January, inclusive. For many Christian denominations-for example, the Anglican Communion and Lutheran Church-the Twelve Days are identical to Christmastide, but for others, .

About The Twelve Days of Christmas. The Twelve Days of Christmas is an English Christmas carol that enumerates each day by the gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas.

Here is Tee Jules (Jules A. d' Hemecourt IV) reciting his "Cajun Night Before Christmas". Done in his memory, Mr. d' Hemecourt passed away in Feb. 2008. This video is taken from Video "Cajun Night Before Christmas" and is a REALLY good video with alot of stories given by Tee Jules. I would recommend video for ALL. Views

The 12 Days have been celebrated in Europe since before the middle ages and were a time of celebration. Day 2 (26th December also known as Boxing Day): St Stephen’s Day. He was the first Christian martyr (someone who dies for their faith). Twelfth Night was a big time of celebration with people holding large parties. During these parties, often the roles in society were reversed with the servants being served by the rich people. This dated back to medieval and Tudor times when Twelfth Night marked the end of 'winter' which had started on 31st October with All Hallows Eve (Halloween).

Sing along to TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS song with our music, lyrics and video. The Twelve Days of Christmas (The 12 Days of Christmas) start with Christmas Day and finish with the eve of Epiphany on 5th January. On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree

The structure of "The 12 Days of Christmas" lends itself easily to parodies, of which there have been many. There's Jeff Foxworthy's redneck version, Twisted Sister's heavy metal take, and, of course, a Muppets version (featuring John Denver): There's also a 12 days of Christmas diet of sorts, which the Atlantic's Olga Khazan attempted in 2013.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me Two turtledoves and a partridge in a pear tree. Oh and that might be, all I need.

Splinter's Twelve Days of Christmas is a song from We Wish You a Turtle Christmas. It's based on another well known christmas song of same name. On the first day of christmas the turtles gave to me. A pizza with pepperoni. On the second day of christmas the turtles gave to me. Two comic books. And a pizza with pepperoni. On the third day of christmas the turtles gave to me. Three skateboards. On the fouth day of christmas the turtles gave to me. Four man-hole covers. And a pizza with pepperoni
